     Frances Elizabeth Simpson was the daughter of Surg.-Gen. Sir Benjamin Simpson.¹ She married Brig.-Gen. Sir Alfred Granville Balfour, son of Colonel John Balfour, 7th of Balbirnie and Lady Georgiana Isabel Campbell, in 1886.¹ She died in 1936.¹
     From 1886, her married name became Balfour.¹

     Surg.-Gen. Sir Benjamin Simpson was appointed Knight Commander, Order of the Indian Empire (K.C.I.E.)¹

     Emily Eglantine Balfour was born in 1841.¹ She was the daughter of Colonel John Balfour, 7th of Balbirnie and Lady Georgiana Isabel Campbell.¹ She married Rt. Hon. George Henry Finch, son of George Finch and Lady Louisa Elizabeth Somerset, in 1861.¹ She died in 1865.²
     From 1861, her married name became Finch.¹

     Rt. Hon. George Henry Finch was born in 1835.¹ He was the son of George Finch and Lady Louisa Elizabeth Somerset.² He married Emily Eglantine Balfour, daughter of Colonel John Balfour, 7th of Balbirnie and Lady Georgiana Isabel Campbell, in 1861.¹ He died in 1907.¹
     He was appointed Privy Counsellor (P.C.)¹ He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.)¹

     Mary Louisa Balfour was born in 1846.¹ She was the daughter of Colonel John Balfour, 7th of Balbirnie and Lady Georgiana Isabel Campbell.¹ She died in 1939.¹
