     Venerable Henry Maxwell Spooner was born on 9 May 1846 at The Precincts, Elmdon, Warwickshire, England.2 He was the son of William Spooner and Jane Lydia Wilson.2 He married Catherine Goodwin, daughter of Rt. Rev. Harvey Goodwin and Ellen King, on 12 October 1875 at Dalston, Cumberland, England.2 He died on 1 April 1929 at age 82.2 He was buried at St. Clement's Churchyard, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England.2
     He held the office of Archdeacon of Maidstone.2 He held the office of Canon of Canterbury Cathedral.2
