Lt.-Col. Frederick Arthur Hamilton was born on 15 December 1880.1 He was the son of Charles Robert Hamilton and Louisa Caroline Elizabeth Brooke.2 He married Phyllis Addams Williams, daughter of Maj.-Gen. Sir Godfrey Williams, on 28 September 1911.1 He died on 8 February 1962 at age 81.1
