     Maj.-Gen. Thomas Erskine Arthur Hall was born on 13 January 1826.1 He was the son of James Hall and Anne Cockerell Moubray.2 He married Lady Margaretta Louisa Stewart, daughter of Charles Andrew Knox Stewart, 4th Earl Castle Stewart and Charlotte Raffles Drury Thompson, on 28 December 1865.3 He died on 9 February 1901 at age 75.1
     He gained the rank of Major-General.1

     He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.)1 He was appointed Companion, Order of the Bath (C.B.)1 He lived at Knockbrack, County Galway, Ireland.1 He lived at Merville, County Dublin, Ireland.1
