     Bernard James Tindal Bosanquet was born on 13 October 1877 at Enfield, London, England.1 He was the son of Lt.-Col. Bernard Tindal Bosanquet and Eva Maude Cotton.1 He married Mary Janet Jones, daughter of William Kennedy Jones, on 5 April 1924 at Westminster Register Office, Westminster, London, England.1,2 He died on 12 October 1936 at age 58 at Ewhurst, Surrey, England.1
     He was a cricket bowler for Middlesex and England, and inventor of the googly.1 Between 1903 and 1905 he played 7 cricket test matches for England against Australia.3
