     Edgar Wilmer Walker was born on 3 August 1875.1 He was the son of Rear-Admiral Charles Francis Walker and Edith Frances Duncombe.2 He married Charlotte Rankin Maule, daughter of Sir Robert Maule, on 17 April 1906.1 He died before 28 October 1914 at Armentières, FranceG, killed in action.1
     He was admitted to Inner Temple entitled to practise as a barrister.1 He gained the rank of Captain in the 3rd Battalion, East Yorkshire Regiment.1 He fought in the First World War.1

     Charlotte Rankin Maule was the daughter of Sir Robert Maule.2 She married, firstly, Edgar Wilmer Walker, son of Rear-Admiral Charles Francis Walker and Edith Frances Duncombe, on 17 April 1906.1 She married, secondly, Lt.-Col. Evelyn James Hewitt, 7th Viscount Lifford, son of Archibald Robert Hewitt, 6th Viscount Lifford and Helen Blanche Geach, on 8 July 1919.2 She died on 2 April 1954.2
     From 17 April 1906, her married name became Walker. From 8 July 1919, her married name became Hewitt.2 After her marriage, Charlotte Rankin Maule was styled as Viscountess Lifford on 22 March 1925.
