Sir Alexander Nisbet of that Ilk1

     Sir Alexander Nisbet of that Ilk was the son of Sir Philip Nisbet of that Ilk and Elizabeth Haldane.2 He married Katharine Swinton, daughter of Robert Swinton, 20th of that Ilk and Catherine Hay, circa 1609.2 He died after 1665.2
     He saw three sons die in the Civil War.2 As a staunch supporter of King Charles I, he lost his estates, forcibly purchased by John Ker.2 He built Nisbet House.2 He held the office of Representative at Scots Parliament in 1630, for Berkwickshire.2 He held the office of Sheriff of Berwickshire in 1633.2 In 1641 he was deprived of office by Covenanters (party hostile to King Charles I's episcopalian church government.)2

Mabel Winifred Beadon Bryant1

     Mabel Winifred Beadon Bryant was born on 9 April 1888.1,2 She was the daughter of Frederick Beadon Bryant and Mary Lund.1 She was baptised on 19 June 1888 at Naine Tal, Bengal, India.2 She married Harold Dening, son of Lt.-Gen. Sir Lewis Dening and Beatrice Catherine Scott, on 30 December 1908.1 She died in 1979.1
     From 30 December 1908, her married name became Dening.1

Sir Patrick Hepburn of Whitecastle1

     Sir Patrick Hepburn of Whitecastle was the son of John Hepburn of Beinstoun.2 He married Margaret Cockburn, daughter of James Cockburn.3 He died in November 1583.3
     He was one of the 'Ruthven Raiders.3' He lived at Nunraw, East Lothian, Scotland.4 On 26 August 1582 at Perth, Perthshire, Scotland, he signed the 'secret band' after King James VI was retained at Ruthven Castle.3

     Jean Hepburn was born in 1577. She was the daughter of Sir Patrick Hepburn of Whitecastle and Margaret Cockburn.2 She married Robert Swinton, 20th of that Ilk, son of John Swinton, 19th of that Ilk and Katherine Lauder, in 1597.1 She died in 1599.
     From 1597, her married name became Swinton.

Ruby Irene Dening1

     Ruby Irene Dening was born on 15 January 1910.1 She is the daughter of Harold Dening and Mabel Winifred Beadon Bryant.1 She married John Walter on 24 April 1940 at Kenya.1

     From 13 April 1849, her married name became Bernard.1
