Sir Henry Upton Stephenson, 3rd Bt. was born on 26 November 1926.1 He is the son of Sir Henry Francis Blake Stephenson, 2nd Bt. and Joan Upton.2 He married Susan Diana Ruth Clowes, daughter of John Ernest Clowes and June Darby Philips, on 19 May 1962.1
He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England.1 He was awarded the Territorial Decoration (T.D.)1 He gained the rank of Major in the Queen's Own Yorkshire Dragoons.1 He was director of Stephenson Blake (Holdings) Ltd, and Thos Turton and Sons Ltd.1 He held the office of High Sheriff of Derbyshire in 1975.1 He succeeded as the 3rd Baronet Stephenson, of Hassop Hall, co. Derby [U.K., 1936] in 1982.2 He lived in 2003 at Tissington Cottage, Rowland, Bakewell, Derbyshire, England.1
