Major Geoffrey Stirling Newall was born on 21 June 1882.2 He was the son of Frederick Stirling Newall and Helen Frances Heaton.3,2 He married Ethel Nest Spearman, daughter of Sir Joseph Layton Elmes Spearman, 2nd Bt. and Ethel Leask, on 12 April 1910.1 He died on 16 July 1952 at age 70.1
