Algernon Augustus Henry Stracey was born on 5 April 1873.1 He was the son of Sir Edward Henry Gervase Stracey, 6th Bt. and Mary Gertrude Des Voeux.2 He married Olive Beryl Radclyffe, daughter of Major Charles Robert Eustace Radclyffe, in 1928 at St. George Hanover Square, London, EnglandG.3 He died on 8 December 1941 at age 68.
He fought in the First World War, where he was wounded.1 He gained the rank of Captain in the 9th Battalion, Norfolk Regiment.1
