     Sir Myles Sandys, 1st Bt. was born on 29 March 1563.1 He was the son of Most Reverend Edwin Sandys and Cecilia Wilford.2 He married, firstly, Elizabeth Cooke, daughter of Edward Cooke.1 He married, secondly, Mary West on 28 November 1626.1 He died in 1645.1
     He was educated at Merchant Taylors' School, London, England.1 He was appointed Knight in 1603.1 He was created 1st Baronet Sandys, of Wilberton, co. Cambridge [England] on 25 November 1611.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Cambridge University in 1614.1 He held the office of Sheriff of Cambridgeshire and Huntingdonshire from 1615 to 1616.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Huntingdon from 1621 to 1622.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Cambridgeshire from 1628 to 1629.1
