Sir Henry Burrows Shiffner, 7th Bt. was born on 29 July 1902.1 He was the son of Sir John Shiffner, 5th Bt. and Elsie Burrows.2 He married Margaret Mary Gowers, daughter of Sir Ernest Arthur Gowers, on 8 May 1929.1 He died on 22 November 1941 at age 39, killed in action.1
He was educated at Wellington College, Crowthorne, Berkshire, England.1 He succeeded as the 7th Baronet Shiffner, of Coombe, Sussex [U.K., 1818] on 24 September 1918.1 He was educated at Royal Military Academy, Woolwich, Kent, England.1 He was Aide-de-Camp to Governor and Commander-in-Chief of Uganda between 1926 and 1929.1 He fought in the Second World War.1 He gained the rank of Major in the Royal Artillery.1 He was appointed Officer, Order of the British Empire (O.B.E.)1
