     Lionel Charles Lane Fox-Pitt was born on 5 November 1860. He was the son of Lt.-Gen. Augustus Henry Fox-Pitt-Rivers and Hon. Alice Margaret Stanley. He married, firstly, Nesta Mary Blackett, daughter of John Charles Blackett and Emily Jane Cockcraft, on 15 December 1898. He and Nesta Mary Blackett were divorced in 1920.1 He married, secondly, Elspeth Phelps on 4 December 1920. He died on 7 April 1937 at age 76, without issue.2
     He was given the name of Lionel Charles Lane Lane Fox at birth.2 On 25 May 1880 his name was legally changed to Lionel Charles Lane Fox-Pitt by Royal Licence.2 He lived at Cliff House, Shaftesbury, Dorset, EnglandG.1

     Commander Thomas Stanley Fox-Pitt was born on 27 November 1897. He is the son of William Augustus Lane Fox-Pitt and Lily Ethel Payne. He married Marjorie Florence Hope Barton, daughter of Henry John Hope Barton and Emma Alice Lowther, on 21 October 1930.
     He gained the rank of Commander in the Royal Navy.1 He was appointed Officer, Order of the British Empire (O.B.E.)1
