Arthur Joseph Russell was born on 19 February 1861.1 He was the son of Charles Russell, Baron Russell of Killowen and Ellen Mulholland.2 He married Florence Cuming, daughter of James Cuming, on 7 October 1891.1 He died on 22 November 1907 at age 46, without issue.1
He graduated from Oriel College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England, with a Master of Arts (M.A.)1 He was a practising barrister in 1886.1 He held the office of County Court Judge for Wandsworth.1

Sir Charles Russell, 1st Bt. was born on 8 July 1863.1 He was the son of Charles Russell, Baron Russell of Killowen and Ellen Mulholland.2 He married Adah Walmsley Williams, daughter of Lieutenant William Williams and Adeline Walmsley, in 1889.1 He died on 27 March 1928 at age 64, without male issue.1
He was educated at Beaumont College, Old Windsor, Berkshire, England.1 He was a practising solicitor in 1888.1 He was solicitor for British Agent Bering Sea Arbitration in 1893.1 He was founder and partner of Charles Russell & Co.1 He held the office of Member of the London City Council between 1910 and 1913.1 He was appointed Knight of Grace, Most Venerable Order of the Hospital of St. John of Jerusalem (K.G.St.J.)1 He was created 1st Baronet Russell, of Littleworth Corner, Burnham, co. Buckingham [U.K.] on 18 January 1916, with a special remainder to the heirs male of the body of his father.1 He was appointed Knight Commander, Royal Victorian Order (K.C.V.O.)1
