Caroline Barney Harrington was the daughter of George Harrington.2 She married Sir Horace Rumbold, 8th Bt., son of Sir William Rumbold, 3rd Bt. and Hon. Henrietta Elizabeth Parkyns, on 15 July 1867.1 She died on 26 December 1872.1

Sir Horace George Montagu Rumbold, 9th Bt. was born on 5 February 1869.1 He is the son of Sir Horace Rumbold, 8th Bt. and Caroline Barney Harrington.2 He married Etheldred Constantia Fane, daughter of Sir Edmund Douglas Veitch Fane and Constantia Eleanor Wood, on 18 July 1905.1 He died on 24 May 1941 at age 72.1
He was with the Diplomatic Corps in 1888.1 He was appointed Member, Royal Victorian Order (M.V.O.) in 1907.1 He succeeded as the 9th Baronet Rumbold, of Woodhall, Watton, Hertford [G.B., 1779] on 3 November 1913.1 He held the office of Envoy Extraordinary and Minister Plenipotentiary to Berne in 1916.1 He was appointed Knight Commander, Order of St. Michael and St. George (K.C.M.G.) in 1917.1 He held the office of Envoy Extraordinary and Minister Plenipotentiary to Poland between 1919 and 1920.1 He was appointed Privy Counsellor (P.C.) in 1920.1 He held the office of High Commissioner and Ambassador to Turkey between 1920 and 1924.1 He was appointed Knight Grand Cross, Order of St. Michael and St. George (G.C.M.G.) in 1923.1 He held the office of Ambassador to Spain between 1924 and 1928.1 He held the office of Ambassador to Germany between 1928 and 1933.1 He was appointed Knight Grand Cross, Order of the Bath (G.C.B.) in 1934.1 He was member of the Royal Commission on Palestine in 1937.1

William Edwin Rumbold was born on 22 October 1870.1 He was the son of Sir Horace Rumbold, 8th Bt. and Caroline Barney Harrington.2 He married Elizabeth Gordon Cameron, daughter of Reverend Robert James Cameron, on 21 February 1903.1 He died on 25 January 1947 at age 76.1
