Sir Peter Halkett of Pitferrane, 2nd Bt. was born on 21 June 1695.2,3 He was baptised on 22 June 1695 at Aberlady, East Lothian, Scotland.3 He was the son of Sir Peter Halkett of Pitferrane, 1st Bt. and Janet Halkett.2 He married Lady Amelia Stuart, daughter of Francis Stuart, 7th Earl of Moray and Jean Elphinstone.1 He died on 9 July 1755 at age 60 at North America, killed in action.2
