Colonel Charles Price was the son of Francis Rose and Elizabeth Booth.2 He married Sarah Edmunds, daughter of Philip Edmunds.1 He died on 20 May 1730.1
He was the adoptive heir of his maternal half-brother, Thomas. He inherited Rose Hall, St Thomas's-in-the-Vale and other Jamaican estates.1 He lived at Worthy Park, Jamaica.1

Sir Charles Rose Price, 1st Bt. was born on 20 August 1708.1 He was the son of Colonel Charles Price and Sarah Edmunds.2 He married Mary Sharpe circa 1733.1 He died on 26 July 1772 at age 63.1
Sir Charles Rose Price, 1st Bt. also went by the nick-name of The Patriot because of his public benefactions.1 He held the office of Member of the House of Assembly (M.H.A.) [Jamaica] between 1732 and 1763.1 He held the office of Speaker of the House of Assembly [Jamaica] between 1746 and 1763.1 He was created 1st Baronet Price, of Rose Hall, Jamaica [Great Britain] on 13 August 1768.1
