     Julius Charles Hendicott Drewe was born on 4 April 1856 at Pulloxhill Vicarage, Pulloxhill, Bedfordshire, England.1 He was the son of Reverend George Smith Drew and Mary Peek.1 He married Frances Richardson, daughter of Thomas Richardson and Frances Astley, on 16 September 1890.1 He died on 10 November 1931 at age 75 at Kilmorie, Asham Marine Drive, Torquay, Devon, England.1
     He was given the name of Julius Charles Hendicott Drew at birth.2 He was founder of the Home and Colonial Trading Association in 1885.1 In 1910 his name was legally changed to Julius Charles Hendicott Drewe by Deed Poll.2
