     Catherine Louise Thurtle Layard was born on 12 July 1837.¹ She was the daughter of Henry Lewis Layard and Catherine Thurtle Dent.¹ She died on 11 February 1910 at age 72, unmarried.¹

     Katherine Eliza Layard was born on 21 February 1841.¹ She was the daughter of Henry Lewis Layard and Catherine Thurtle Dent.¹ She married Alfred Pratt.¹ She died on 20 November 1875 at age 34.¹

     Edith Sophia Layard was born in 1856.¹ She was the daughter of Henry Lewis Layard and Catherine Thurtle Dent.¹ She died in 1857.¹

     Brownlow Edward Layard was born on 15 April 1810.¹ He was the son of Charles Edward Layard and Barbara Bridgetina Mooyaart.¹ He married, firstly, Emily Kensington, daughter of John Powley Kensington, on 19 June 1838.¹ He married, secondly, Caroline Mary Fenton, daughter of Captain Thomas Charles Fenton and Harriette Rooke, on 18 October 1842.¹ He married, thirdly, Louisa Henrietta Carter, daughter of Reverend Thomas Carter, in January 1854.¹ He died on 2 February 1890 at age 79.¹
     He gained the rank of Captain in the Ceylon Rifles.¹ He lived at Windsor, Berkshire, England.¹
