Henrietta Willoughby Barrett was born in 1813.1 She was the daughter of Captain Samuel Barrett and Margaret Gillies Storey.1 She married Commander John de Courcy Dashwood, son of Vice-Admiral Sir Charles Dashwood and Hon. Elizabeth de Courcy, in 1839.1 She died in 1883.1

Commander John de Courcy Dashwood was born circa 1802 at Devon, England.2 He was the son of Vice-Admiral Sir Charles Dashwood and Hon. Elizabeth de Courcy.1 He married Henrietta Willoughby Barrett, daughter of Captain Samuel Barrett and Margaret Gillies Storey, in 1839.1 He died on 29 July 1878 at 3 Trinity Terrace, Cheltenham, Gloucestershire, England.3
He was commissioned in 1814 with the rank of Midshipman, in the service of the Royal Navy.2 He fought in the War of 1812 in 1815.2 He retired from the military in 1834, with the rank of Commander, late of the Royal Navy.2
