     Marian Emily Ellis was the daughter of Rt. Hon. John Edward Ellis. She married Charles Alfred Cripps, 1st Baron Parmoor, son of Henry William Cripps and Julia Lawrence, on 14 July 1919.1 She died on 6 July 1952.1
     After her marriage, Marian Emily Ellis was styled as Baroness Parmoor on 14 July 1919. From 14 July 1919, her married name became Cripps.1
