     Elisabeth von Hessen was born before 1329. She was the daughter of Heinrich II Landgraf von Hessen and Elisabeth von Meißen. She married Ernst I Herzog von Braunschweig-Lüneburg Fürst von Braunschweig-Göttingen, son of Albrecht II Herzog von Braunschweig-Göttingen and Rixa von Werle, circa 1339. She died on 7 March 1390.

     Heinrich II Landgraf von Hessen was born circa 1299.2 He was the son of Otto I Landgraf von Hessen and Adelheid Gräfin von Ravensburg.1,2 He married Elisabeth von Meißen, daughter of Friedrich I Markgraf von Meißen and Elisabeth Gräfin von Lobdaburg-Arnshaugk, circa 1319. He and Elisabeth von Meißen were divorced in 1340. He died on 3 June 1376.2
     Heinrich II Landgraf von Hessen also went by the nick-name of Heinrich 'Ironside'.1 He succeeded as the Landgraf von Hessen in 1328.1

She married Heinrich II Landgraf von Hessen, son of Otto I Landgraf von Hessen and Adelheid Gräfin von Ravensburg, circa 1319. She and Heinrich II Landgraf von Hessen were divorced in 1340. She died before 10 November 1367.

     Friedrich I Markgraf von Meißen was born circa 1257. He was the son of Albrecht I Landgraf von Thüringen and Margaret of Swabia. He married, firstly, Agnes von Kärnten, daughter of Conrad IV von Hohenstaufen, King of Sicily and Elisabeth von Wittelsbach, circa 1286. He married, secondly, Elisabeth Gräfin von Lobdaburg-Arnshaugk, daughter of Hartmann XI Graf von Lobdaburg-Arnshaugk and Elisabeth von Orlamünde, on 24 August 1300. He died on 16 November 1323.
     Friedrich I Markgraf von Meißen also went by the nick-name of Friedrich 'the Bold'. He gained the title of Markgraf von Meißen. He gained the title of Landgraf von Thüringen.

     Albrecht I Herzog von Braunschweig-Lüneburg was born circa 1236. He was the son of Otto I Herzog von Braunschweig-Lüneburg and Matilde von Brandenburg.1 He married, firstly, Elizabeth de Brabant, daughter of Henri II, Duc de Brabant and Sophie von Thüringen, on 13 July 1254.2 He married, secondly, Alessia di Monferrato, daughter of Boniface II 'il Gigante' Marchese del Monferrato and Margherita di Savoia, in 1265.3 He died on 15 August 1279.
     Albrecht I Herzog von Braunschweig-Lüneburg also went by the nick-name of Albrecht 'the Great'.1 He succeeded as the Herzog von Braunschweig in 1252.1

     Alessia di Monferrato was born in 1240.1 She was the daughter of Boniface II 'il Gigante' Marchese del Monferrato and Margherita di Savoia.1 She married, firstly, Albrecht I Herzog von Braunschweig-Lüneburg, son of Otto I Herzog von Braunschweig-Lüneburg and Matilde von Brandenburg, in 1265.1 She married, secondly, Gerhard I Graf von Holstein-Itzehoe, son of Adolf IV von Schauenberg Graf von Holstein and Hedwig von der Lippe, circa 1280.1 She died on 6 February 1285.

     Boniface II 'il Gigante' Marchese del Monferrato was born in July 1202.1 He was the son of Guglielmo VI Marchese del Monferrato and Berta di Clavesana.1 He married Margherita di Savoia, daughter of Amedeo IV Conte di Savoia and Anne de Bourgogne, in December 1235 at Chivasso, Italy.1 He died on 12 June 1253 at age 50.1
