Humphrey Napier Sturt, 2nd Baron Alington of Crichel was born on 20 August 1859.2 He was the son of Henry Gerard Sturt, 1st Baron Alington of Crichel and Lady Augusta Bingham. He married Lady Feodorowna Yorke, daughter of Charles Philip Yorke, 5th Earl of Hardwicke and Lady Sophia Georgiana Robertina Wellesley, on 25 June 1883.3 He died on 30 July 1919 at age 59 at London, EnglandG.3,4 He was buried on 6 August 1919 at Moor Crichel, Wimborne, Dorset, EnglandG.4
