Lt.-Col. Richard Piggot Molesworth was born on 25 January 1868.1 He was the son of Maj.-Gen. Hickman Thomas Molesworth and Marianne Lindsay.2 He married Madeleine Galgey, daughter of Dr. Otho Galgey, on 27 October 1904.1 He died on 24 February 1946 at age 78.1
He fought in the Waziristan Expedition between 1894 and 1895.1 He fought in the North-West Frontier between 1897 and 1898.1 He fought in the First World War, where he was mentioned in despatches.1 He was awarded the Chevalier, Ordre national de la Légion d'honneur.1 He was appointed Companion, Order of St. Michael and St. George (C.M.G.)1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel and Brevet Colonel in the Royal Artillery.1

Rooke, on 15 February 1933.1 He married, secondly, Valerie St. Claire Earle, daughter of Charles Francis Earle, in 1948.1 He died on 10 September 1960 at age 50 at Warwickshire, England.1,3
