     Margaret Macarthur was the daughter of John Macarthur and Catherine Yuill.2 She married Alexander Moir, son of James Moir, circa 1705.1 She died circa 1775.3
     She was heiress in her issue of MacArthur of Milton.1 From circa 1705, her married name became Moir.

     John Moir was baptised on 20 May 1740.2 He was the son of James Moir and Jean Erskine of Alloa.3 He married Emilia MacQueen, daughter of Reverend Daniel MacQueen and Elisabeth Nisbet, on 23 March 1766.1,2 He died on 15 October 1802 at age 62 at Edinburgh, Midlothian, Scotland.1,2
     He was a practising Writer to the Signet (W.S.)1 He lived at Hillfoot, Scotland.1

     Emilia MacQueen was born on 25 October 1739 at Dalziel, Lanarkshire, Scotland.2 She was the daughter of Reverend Daniel MacQueen and Elisabeth Nisbet.2 She married John Moir, son of James Moir and Jean Erskine of Alloa, on 23 March 1766.1,2 She died on 2 June 1783 at age 43 at Edinburgh, Midlothian, Scotland.2
     From 23 March 1766, her married name became Moir.
