     Alexander MacAlister was born on 6 April 1744.1,2 He was the son of Ranald MacAlister and Anne MacDonald.3 He married Mary Campbell.2 He died in 1832.2
     He had three sons (who died without surviving issue.1 ) He lived at Strathaird, Isle of Skye, Scotland.1

     Colonel Matthew Keith MacAlister of Glenbarr was born in 1758.1 He was the son of Ranald MacAlister and Anne MacDonald.2 He married, firstly, unknown Campbell of Saddell.1 He married, secondly, Charlotte Brodie, daughter of James Brodie, 21st of Brodie and Lady Margaret Duff, in 1802.3 He died in 1829.1
     At Seringapatam, India, he was imprisoned 4 years by Hyder Ali.1 He was Colonel in the Honourable East India Company Service.1 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.)1 He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.)1

     Keith MacAlister, 2nd of Glenbarr and Cour was born in 1803.1 He was the son of Colonel Matthew Keith MacAlister of Glenbarr and Charlotte Brodie.2 He married, firstly, Mary Agatha Campbell, daughter of Robert Campbell, 10th of Skipness and Eugenia Josephine Wynne, on 3 June 1830.3 He married, secondly, Alexandra Georgina Cunningham Millar, daughter of William Millar of Monkcastle, in 1858.1 He died on 17 November 1866.3
     He also had five daughters.2

     Major Henry Lees was born on 30 November 1816.2 He was the son of Thomas Orde Lees and Charity Armit.2 He married Eliza Maria McKay, daughter of Daniel McKay, on 28 October 1848.2 He died on 10 January 1878 at age 61.2
     He gained the rank of Major in the 28th Regiment.2
