George Whiteley Whiteley, 1st Baron Marchamley1

     George Whiteley Whiteley, 1st Baron Marchamley was born on 30 August 1855.1 He was the son of George Whiteley and Margaret Pickop.2 He married Alice Tattersall, daughter of William Tattersall and Ann Cartmel, on 25 June 1881.1 He died on 21 October 1925 at age 70.1
     He was a cotton-spinner and brewer.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) (Conservative) for Stockport between 1893 and 1900.1 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Hampshire.1 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Shropshire.1 He held the office of Mayor of Blackburn.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) (Liberal) for Pudsey between 1900 and 1908.1 He was appointed Privy Counsellor (P.C.) in 1907.1 He was created 1st Baron Marchamley, of Hawkstone, Shropshire [U.K.] on 3 July 1908.1

Sir Herbert James Huntington-Whiteley, 1st Bt.1

     Sir Herbert James Huntington-Whiteley, 1st Bt. was born on 8 December 1857.2 He was the son of George Whiteley and Margaret Pickop.2 He married Florence Kate Huntington, daughter of William Balle Huntington, on 25 September 1895.2 He died on 22 January 1936 at age 78.2
     He was given the name of Herbert James Whiteley at birth.2 He held the office of Mayor of Blackburn in 1892.2 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) (Conservative) for Ashton-under-Lyne between 1895 and 1906.2 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Blackburn.2 He held the office of High Sheriff of Worcestershire in 1913.2 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) (Conservative) for Droitwich between 1916 and 1918.2 On 7 February 1918 his name was legally changed to Herbert James Huntington-Whiteley by Royal Licence.2 He was created 1st Baronet Huntington-Whiteley, of Grimley, co. Worcester [U.K.] on 8 February 1918.2

Alice Tattersall1

     Alice Tattersall was born in 1862 at Westmorland, England.2 She was the daughter of William Tattersall and Ann Cartmel.1,2 She married George Whiteley Whiteley, 1st Baron Marchamley, son of George Whiteley and Margaret Pickop, on 25 June 1881.1 She died on 10 March 1913.1
     From 25 June 1881, her married name became Whiteley. After her marriage, Alice Tattersall was styled as Baroness Marchamley on 3 July 1908.

     William Tattersall Whiteley, 2nd Baron Marchamley was born on 22 November 1886 at Blackburn, Lancashire, EnglandG.2 He was the son of George Whiteley Whiteley, 1st Baron Marchamley and Alice Tattersall.3 He married Margaret Clara Johnstone, daughter of Thomas Scott Johnstone and Margaret Lambie, on 24 May 1911 at Glenmark, Waipara, Canterbury, New ZealandG.1,4 He died on 17 November 1949 at age 62 at England, from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.1,4
     He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England.1 He was educated at Hertford College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England.1 He fought in the First World War.1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Commander in the Royal Navy Volunteer Reserve.1 He gained the rank of Major in the Royal Air Force.1 He held the office of High Sheriff of Hampshire in 1921.1 He fought Leeds SE in the 1923 and 1924 general elections.1 He succeeded as the 1st Baron Marchamley, of Hawkstone, Shropshire [U.K., 1908] on 21 October 1925.1 He gained the rank of Flight Lieutenant in the Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve.1 He fought in the Second World War between 1939 and 1944.1

     Major Hon. Ronald George Whiteley was born on 11 August 1890.1 He was the son of George Whiteley Whiteley, 1st Baron Marchamley and Alice Tattersall.2 He married Marjorie Gordon Jukes, daughter of Ernest Jukes and Hilda Gordon Brown, on 27 July 1939.1 He died on 22 April 1957 at age 66, without issue.1
     He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England.1 He graduated from Magdalen College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England, in 1912 with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)1 He fought in the First World War.1 He gained the rank of Major in the Royal Garrison Artillery (SR.)1 He was Officer, Order of the British Empire (O.B.E.) in 1919.1

     Marjorie Gordon Jukes was born on 25 August 1907.2 She was the daughter of Ernest Jukes and Hilda Gordon Brown.1,2 She married, firstly, Major Hon. Ronald George Whiteley, son of George Whiteley Whiteley, 1st Baron Marchamley and Alice Tattersall, on 27 July 1939.1 She married, secondly, Admiral Sir Desmond Parry Dreyer, son of Admiral Frederic Charles Dreyer and Una Maria Hallett, on 2 December 1959.1 She died on 8 September 1997 at age 90.3
     From 27 July 1939, her married name became Whiteley. From 2 December 1959, her married name became Dreyer.1

     Hon. Muriel Cartmel Whiteley was born in 1883.2 She was the daughter of George Whiteley Whiteley, 1st Baron Marchamley and Alice Tattersall.3 She married Stanley Wyndham Jamieson, son of John Donaldson Jamieson and Sophia Gertrude Wyndham, on 30 April 1908.1 She and Stanley Wyndham Jamieson were divorced in 1949.1 She died on 16 October 1952.1
     From 30 April 1908, her married name became Jamieson.1

     Stanley Wyndham Jamieson was born on 23 March 1885.2 He was the son of John Donaldson Jamieson and Sophia Gertrude Wyndham.1,2 He married Hon. Muriel Cartmel Whiteley, daughter of George Whiteley Whiteley, 1st Baron Marchamley and Alice Tattersall, on 30 April 1908.1 He and Hon. Muriel Cartmel Whiteley were divorced in 1949.1 He died on 27 April 1970 at age 85.1
     He was awarded the honorary degree of Doctor of Law (LL.D.)1 He was appointed Commander, Order of the British Empire (C.B.E.)1
