     He went to Jamaica, but returned and managed Scottish estates for a time, then returned to Jamaica.1

     Janet McLachlan is the daughter of unknown McLachlan.1 She married Archibald MacCallum, 8th of Poltalloch, son of Donald Maccallum, 7th of Poltalloch and Margaret Campbell, in 1707.1
     From 1707, her married name became MacCallum.1 In 1746 sister of Lachlan McLachlan of that Ilk (killed at Culloden.1
