Major Robert Lawrence Scarlett was born on 27 January 1848 at Leeds, Yorkshire, England.1,2 He was the son of James William Scarlett and Anne Rhodes Williams Brown.1 He married, firstly, Arabella Lucy Walsh, daughter of Gilbert Walsh, on 17 January 1878 at St. Thomas, Devon, England.1,2 He married, secondly, Katherine Hollway, daughter of James Hollway and Ida Fynes-Clinton, in 1909 at Kensington, London, England.1
He gained the rank of Major in the Royal Artillery.1

Colonel Daniel Mackinnon was the son of William Mackinnon and Harriet Frye.2 He married unknown daughter Dent, daughter of John Dent.1 He died on 22 June 1836, without issue.1
He gained the rank of Ensign in 1804 in the Coldstream Guards.1 He fought in the Naploeonic Wars between 1805 and 1814, in Germany, Copenhagen, the Peninsular and the Netherlands.1 He fought in the Battle of Waterloo in 1815, where he was wounded.1 He gained the rank of Colonel in 1830.1 He wrote the book Origin and History of the Coldstream Guards, published 1832.1

Sarah Bodvile was the daughter of John Bodvile and Anne Russell.2 She married Robert Robartes, Viscount Bodmin, son of John Robartes, 1st Earl of Radnor and Lady Lucy Rich, in 1657.1 She died circa 17 February 1720.1 She was buried on 20 September 1720.1
From 1657, her married name became Robartes.1 On 25 January 1685/86 she was granted the rank of an earl's widow.1 She was admired as a beauty by Samuel Pepys.1
