     James Boswell Talbot, 6th Baron Talbot of Malahide was born on 18 May 1874.1 He was the son of Richard Wogan Talbot, 5th Baron Talbot of Malahide and Emily Harriette Boswell.1 He married Lucy Joyce Gunning Kerr, daughter of Frederick Kerr, on 19 September 1924.1 He died on 22 August 1948 at age 74, without issue.1
     He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Ayrshire.1 He succeeded as the 6th Baron Talbot of Malahide, and Lord Malahide of Malahide, co. Dublin [I., 1831] on 4 March 1921.1 He succeeded as the 3rd Baron Talbot de Malahide, co. Dublin [U.K., 1856] on 4 March 1921.1
