Henry Amelius Coventry and Caroline Stirling Dundas.1 She married Henry Charles Howard, 18th Earl of Suffolk, son of Charles John Howard, 17th Earl of Suffolk and Isabella Catherine Howard, on 2 December 1868.1 She died on 31 October 1928 at age 81.1

He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, EnglandG.2 He was commissioned in 1858, in the service of the Army.2 He fought in the Zulu War in 1879.5 He was awarded the Victoria Cross (V.C.) on 17 June 1879, for his actions on 28 March 1879. "During the retreat from Hlobane, he saved the lives of two officers (Captain D'Arcy and Lieutenant Everitt) and a trooper of the Frontier Light Horse when their horses had been shot or assegaied under them. Rallying his men, he rode time and time again at the Zulus, under heavy attack fron gun and spear."5 He fought in the Boer War.5 He was Commander-in-chief of the British Forces in the Boer War, where he raised the siege of Ladysmith between 1899 and 1900.3 He was appointed Knight Grand Cross, Order of the Bath (G.C.B.)2 He was appointed Knight Grand Cross, Order of St. Michael and St. George (G.C.M.G.)2
