Sir Henry Gordon Ley, 2nd Bt. was born on 12 March 1874.1 He was the son of Sir Francis Ley, 1st Bt. and Georgina Townsend Willis.2 He married, firstly, Rhoda Prodgers, daughter of Herbert Prodgers and Emily Sibella Phillpotts, on 6 September 1899.1 He and Rhoda Prodgers were divorced in 1927.1 He married, secondly, Mabel Annie Brocklehurst, daughter of Sir Philip Lancaster Brocklehurst, 1st Bt. and Annie Lee Dewhurst, on 29 September 1927.1 He married, thirdly, Dorothea Gertrude Grey, daughter of Charles Grey, on 23 January 1939.1 He and Mabel Annie Brocklehurst were divorced in 1938.1 He died on 27 September 1944 at age 70.1
