Jean Blair was the daughter of John Blair of Dunskey and Anne Kennedy.1 She married Sir James Hunter Blair of Dunskey, 1st Bt., son of John Hunter of Mainholm and Brownhill and Anne Cuninghame, in 1770.1 She died on 2 February 1817.1
From 1770, her married name became Hunter. From 1777, her married name became Hunter Blair.1

He succeeded as the 2nd Baronet Hunter Blair, of Dunskey [G.B., 1786] on 1 July 1787.1

Maj.-Gen. Thomas Hunter Blair of Dunskey and Robertland was the son of Sir James Hunter Blair of Dunskey, 1st Bt. and Jean Blair.2 He married Eliza Norris, daughter of J. Norris, in 1820.1 He died on 31 August 1849, without issue.1
He was appointed Companion, Order of the Bath (C.B.)1 He fought in the Battle of Talavera in 1814, where he was wounded and made a prisoner by the French.1 He fought in the Battle of Waterloo in 1815, where he was wounded.1 He gained the rank of Brigadier-General.1 He fought in the Burmese War.1
