     Sir John Jardine, 1st Bt. was born on 27 September 1844.1 He was the son of William Jardine and Jane Sharpe.2 He married Minnie Dunbar Hogg, daughter of Jabez Hogg and Jessie Terraneau, on 27 November 1880.1 He died on 26 April 1919 at age 74.1
     He was educated in 1864 at Christ's College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, EnglandG, with a Chancellor's Medal for English poem.1 He was with the Bombay Civil Service in 1864.1 He was Registrar of the High Court of Bombay in 1873.1 He was Law Officer Supreme Governor in 1877.1 He held the office of Judicial Commissioner of Burma in 1878.1 He was president of the Burma School Board in 1881.1 He held the office of Chief Secretary of the Bombay Government
in 1885.1 He held the office of Puisne Judge of the High Court [Bombay] between 1885 and 1897.1 He was Dean of Law at Bombay University, Bombay, India.1 He held the office of Chief Justice of Bombay in 1895.1 He was appointed Knight Commander, Order of the Indian Empire (K.C.I.E.) in 1897.1 He held the office of Vice-Chancellor of Bombay University.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.)      Jabez Hogg was born on 4 April 1817 at Chatham, Kent, England.2 He married Mary Ann Davis on 25 August 1841 at St. George Hanover Square, London, England.2 He married Jessie Terraneau in 1859 at Kensington, London, England.2 He died on 23 April 1899 at age 82 at 102 Palace Gardens Terrace, Kensington, London, England.2
     He wrote the book A Manual of Photography, published 1843.2 He was registered as a Member, Royal College of Surgeons (M.R.C.S.) in 1850.1

     Minnie Dunbar Hogg was born in 1862 at St. Giles, London, England.2 She was the daughter of Jabez Hogg and Jessie Terraneau.3,2 She married Sir John Jardine, 1st Bt., son of William Jardine and Jane Sharpe, on 27 November 1880.1 She died on 8 July 1941.1
     From 27 November 1880, her married name became Jardine.

     Sir John Eric Birdwood Jardine, 2nd Bt. was born on 30 September 1890.1 He was the son of Sir John Jardine, 1st Bt. and Minnie Dunbar Hogg.2 He died on 24 March 1924 at age 33, unmarried.1
     He was educated at Charterhouse School, Godalming, Surrey, England.1 He graduated from Corpus Christi College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England, with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)1 He fought in the First World War, in Mesopotamia, where he was mentioned in desptaches.1 He gained the rank of Major in the 5th Queen's Royal Regiment (Territorial Army.)1 He succeeded as the 2nd Baronet Jardine, of Godalming, co. Surrey [U.K., 1916] on 26 April 1919.1

Sir Colin Arthur Jardine, 3rd Bt. was born on 24 September 1892.1 He was the son of Sir John Jardine, 1st Bt. and Minnie Dunbar Hogg.2 He married Jean Evelyn Livesey Liddell, daughter of Maj.-Gen. Sir William Andrew Liddell and Ada Lilian Livesey, on 1 May 1919.1 He died on 24 September 1957 at age 65.1
     He was educated at Charterhouse School, Godalming, Surrey, England.1 He was educated at Royal Military Academy, Woolwich, London, England.1 He was awarded the Companion, Distinguished Service Order (D.S.O.) in 1914 and bar (1918.)1 He fought in the First World War, where he was wounded three times, and was mentioned in despatches four times.1 He was awarded the Military Cross (M.C.)1 He succeeded as the 3rd Baronet Jardine, of Godalming, co.
