Sarah Sydenham was born in 1781 at St. Anne, Soho, London, England.2 She was the daughter of Humphrey Sydenham.1 She married General Tredway Clarke, son of Reverend Richard Clarke and Susannah Tredway, in 1812.1 She died on 15 January 1871 at Marylebone, London, England.1,2

Reverend Walter John Clarke was born on 3 April 1813.1 He was the son of General Tredway Clarke and Sarah Sydenham.1 He married Maria Frances Mayor, daughter of Reverend Joseph Mayor, on 17 September 1847.1 He died on 24 August 1903 at age 90.1
