     John MacGregor, 8th of Glengyle was born on 7 November 1708.¹ He was the son of Gregor 'Ghlum Dubh' MacGregor, 7th of Glengyle and Mary Hamilton.¹ He married Jean Buchanan, daughter of William Buchanan.² He died on 30 November 1774 at age 66 at Glengyle, Perthshire, Scotland.²

     Christian Campbell was born circa 1665.² She was the daughter of John Campbell, 1st of Duneaves and Margaret Menzies.² She married John MacGregor, 6th of Glengyle, son of Lt.-Col. Donald MacGregor and Margaret Campbell, in 1687.¹ She died in 1720.²
