     Frances Caroline Grant was born on 1 January 1850.1,2 She was the daughter of Charles James Irwin Grant, 6th Baron de Longueil and Anna Mary Catherine Trapman.1 She was baptised on 17 July 1850 at St. James's Anglican Church, Kingston, Ontario, CanadaG.2 She married, firstly, Thomas McCarty, son of Thomas S. McCarty and Jane Gardner, in 1879.1 She married, secondly, Colonel George Fairet de Tuite in 1889.1 She died in 1935.3
     Frances Caroline Grant also went by the nick-name of Fanny.3 From 1879, her married name became McCarty.1 From 1889, her married name became Fairet de Tuite.1
