     Reverend John Adolphus Wright was the son of Ichabod Wright and Harriet Maria Day.1 He married, firstly, Harriet Elizabeth Howley, daughter of Most Rev. William Howley and Mary Frances Belli, on 12 October 1832.1 He married, secondly, Josephine Anne Law, daughter of Reverend Edward Law, on 10 September 1838.1 He married, thirdly, Ann Alicia Ross, daughter of Captain unknown Ross, in 1851.1 He died on 16 June 1881.1
     He graduated from Christ Church, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, EnglandG, in 1829 with a Master of Arts (M.A.)1 He was the Rector in 1839 at Ickham, Kent, EnglandG.1 He was Chaplain to the Archbishop of Canterbury.1
