Brigadier Alexander Henry Delap West was born on 27 December 1877.1 He was the son of Reverend Henry Matthew West and Helen Mary Dunlop.1 He married Harriet Laura Chichester, daughter of Reverend Edward Arthur Chichester and Hon. Mary Agnes Cubitt, on 8 June 1915.2 He died on 10 March 1959 at age 81 at Newbury, Berkshire, EnglandG.3
