Sir Robert Andrew St. George Martin was born on 13 April 1914.3 He was the son of Major William Francis Martin and Violet Anne Philippa Wynter.2,4 He married Margaret Grace Buchanan, daughter of John Vassie Buchanan and Marion Waiata Godsal, on 14 October 1950.3 He died on 13 December 1993 at age 79 at Loughborough, Leicestershire, England.5
