Mary Claudine Swinton was the daughter of Samuel Swinton and Isabella Routledge.2 She married Rt. Hon. Sir James Weir Hogg, 1st Bt., son of William Hogg and Mary Dickey, on 26 July 1822.1 She died on 26 June 1874.1

Charles Swinton Hogg was born on 3 October 1824.1 He was the son of Rt. Hon. Sir James Weir Hogg, 1st Bt. and Mary Claudine Swinton.2 He married Harriet Anne Stirling, daughter of Sir Walter Stirling of Faskine, 2nd Bt. and Lady Caroline Frances Byng, on 29 December 1860.1 He died on 16 March 1870 at age 45 at Calcutta, India.1
