Sir Alfred Edward Howard Hickman, 2nd Bt. was born on 8 May 1885.2 He was the son of Alfred William Hickman and Mary Whitby Hickin.2 He married, firstly, Lilian Brenda Mander, daughter of Benjamin Howard Mander and Lilian Nelson, on 16 January 1919.2 He and Lilian Brenda Mander were divorced in 1940.2 He married, secondly, Nancy Beryl Morse-Evans, daughter of Captain Trevor George Morse-Evans, on 23 April 1940.2,3 He died on 11 March 1947 at age 61.2
He succeeded as the 2nd Baronet Hickman, of Wightwick, Tettenhall, co. Staffs [U.K., 1903] on 11 March 1910.1 He fought in the First World War, in France, and was wounded.2 He gained the rank of Captain in the 4th/7th Dragoon Guards.2 He gained the rank of Major in the Shropshire Yeomanry (TA.)2
