     John Hamilton Hussey Vivian, 4th Baron Swansea of Singleton was born on 1 January 1925.1 He was the son of Odo Richard Vivian, 3rd Baron Swansea of Singleton and Hon. Winifred Hamilton.1 He married, firstly, Miriam Antoinette Caccia-Birch, daughter of Anthony William Fabio Caccia-Birch and Nancy Mary Williams, on 19 April 1956.2 He and Miriam Antoinette Caccia-Birch were divorced in 1973.2 He married, secondly, Lucy Gough, daughter of Most Rev. Hugh Rowlands Gough and Hon. Madeline Elizabeth Kinnaird, on 2 December 1982.2 He died on 24 June 2005 at age 80.3
     He succeeded as the 4th Baronet Swansea [U.K., 1882] on 16 November 1934.1 He succeeded as the 4th Baron Swansea of Singleton, co. Glamorgan [U.K., 1893] on 16 November 1934.1 He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England.1 He was educated at Trinity College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England.1 He was president of the Welsh Rifle Association, Commonwealth Shooting Federation, and Shooting Sports Trust.1 He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Powys in 1962.1 He was Dato Seri Laila Jasa (Brunei) in 1971.1 He was appointed, Companion, Most Venerable Order of the Hospital of St. John of Jerusalem (C.St.J.) in 1994.2
