Charles Gilbert Heathcote was born on 2 March 1841.1 He was the son of John Moyer Heathcote and Hon. Emily Frances Ridley-Colborne.2 He married Lucy Edith Wrottesley, daughter of Hon. Walter Wrottesley and Marianne Lucy Archer, on 9 September 1869.2 He died on 15 November 1913 at age 72.1
He graduated from Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, EnglandG, with a Master of Arts (M.A.)1 He held the office of Stipendiary Magistrate of Brighton between 1884 and 1902.1 He was a practising barrister.1 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Hampshire.1
