Lt.-Gen. John Christopher Guise, V.C. was born on 27 July 1826.1 He was the son of General Sir John Wright Guise, 3rd Bt. and Charlotte Diana Vernon.2 He married Isabella Newcombe, daughter of Reverend Arthur Newcombe and Hon. Catherine Wingfield, on 18 September 1861.1 He died on 5 February 1895 at age 68.1
He was awarded the Victoria Cross (V.C.)1 He was appointed Companion, Order of the Bath (C.B.)1 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.)1 He gained the rank of Colonel in the Leicestershire Regiment, formerly 90th Light Infantry.1 He lived at St. Waleran, Gorey, Wexford, County Wexford, IrelandG.1

Arthur St. Valery Beauchamp Guise was born on 20 February 1868.1 He was the son of Lt.-Gen. John Christopher Guise, V.C. and Isabella Newcombe.2 He married Florence Hazel Herbert Mackintosh, daughter of Charles Mackintosh, on 15 September 1910.1 He died on 1 May 1923 at age 55.1
