     Margaret Aline Majendie was born on 29 August 1872.2 She was the daughter of Lewis Ashhurst Majendie.1 She married Field Marshal Francis Wallace Grenfell, 1st Baron Grenfell, son of Pascoe St. Leger Grenfell and Catherine Anne Dupré, on 8 August 1903.1 She died on 24 August 1911 at age 38.1
     She held the office of Maid Honour to HM Queen Victoria.1 From 8 August 1903, her married name became Grenfell.1 After her marriage, Margaret Aline Majendie was styled as Baroness Grenfell on 8 August 1903.
