John Gorell Barnes1

     John Gorell Barnes was born on 23 December 1777.1 He was the son of David Barnes and Ellen Gorell.2 He married Elizabeth Taylor Clay, daughter of John Clay, in 1810.1 He died on 29 March 1858 at age 80.1
     He lived at Ashgate, Chesterfield, Derbyshire, EnglandG.1

     Elizabeth Taylor Clay was the daughter of John Clay.2 She married John Gorell Barnes, son of David Barnes and Ellen Gorell, in 1810.1 She died on 10 October 1858.1
     From 1810, her married name became Barnes.
