     Robert Maunsell was born on 4 August 1795.¹ He was the son of Daniel Maunsell and Sarah Meares.² He married, firstly, Anne Lloyd, daughter of Reverend John Lloyd, in 1821.¹ He married, secondly, Fanny Dwyer, daughter of Francis Dwyer, in 1834.¹ He married, thirdly, Louisa Douglas, daughter of James Douglas, in 1848.¹ He died in 1875.¹
     He was a practising Solicitor.¹ He lived at Merrion Square, Dublin, County Dublin, Ireland^G.¹

     Colonel Thomas Maunsell was the son of Thomas Maunsell and Aphra Crayford.² He married Margaret Knoyle, daughter of Leonard Knoyle and Francisca Jerard, in 1641.¹ He died on 13 March 1686/87.¹
     He was one of 'the '49 officers.¹' In 1649/50 he greatly distinguished himself in the defence of Mocollop Castle.¹ With a portion of the ruins of Mocollop Castle, he built himself a mansion house close to the castle.¹ He lived at Mocollop, County Waterford, Ireland^G.¹

     Dorothy Frances Suzanne Layard is the daughter of Captain Brownlow Villiers Layard.¹ She married Lt.-Cdr. Brian William Marshal Clarke, son of Admiral Sir Marshal Llewelyn Clarke and Ina Leonora Edwards, on 15 September 1951.¹
     From 15 September 1951, her married name became Clarke.¹
