Robert Maunsell was born on 4 August 1795.1 He was the son of Daniel Maunsell and Sarah Meares.2 He married, firstly, Anne Lloyd, daughter of Reverend John Lloyd, in 1821.1 He married, secondly, Fanny Dwyer, daughter of Francis Dwyer, in 1834.1 He married, thirdly, Louisa Douglas, daughter of James Douglas, in 1848.1 He died in 1875.1

John Maunsell was born circa 1622.1 He was the son of Thomas Maunsell and Aphra Crayford.2 He married, secondly, Jane Campbell, daughter of John Campbell.1 He married, firstly, Mary Booth, daughter of George Booth, in 1656.2 He died on 14 November 1695.1
He matriculated at Trinity College, Dublin University, Dublin, County Dublin, IrelandG, on 9 July 1640.2 He was admitted to Middle Temple entitled to practise as a Barrister-at-Law.2 He fought in the Battle of Naseby, where he was severely wounded.2 He gained the rank of Captain in 1653 in the Life Guards of Henry Cromwell.2 He held the office of High Sheriff of County Limerick in 1671.2 He lived at Ballyvoreen, County Limerick, IrelandG.2

Colonel Thomas Maunsell was the son of Thomas Maunsell and Aphra Crayford.2 He married Margaret Knoyle, daughter of Leonard Knoyle and Francisca Jerard, in 1641.1 He died on 13 March 1686/87.1
He was one of 'the '49 officers.1' In 1649/50 he greatly distinguished himself in the defence of Mocollop Castle.1 With a portion of the ruins of Mocollop Castle, he built himself a mansion house close to the castle.1 He lived at Mocollop, County Waterford, IrelandG.1
