David Floyd lived at Foss-y-Bleid.1 Served at sea in the Dutch Wars.1 He gained the rank of Captain in 1685 in the Earl of Oxford's Regiment (Horse Guard Blues.)1 He held the office of Groom of the Bedchamber to King James II, whom he followed into exile and on whose behalf he carried despatches between the Jacobite court in exile at St. Germains and England.1

John Floyd was born in 1707.1 He married Mary Bate, daughter of Reverend Richard Bate, on 28 October 1746.1 He died on 12 September 1759, from wounds received in action.1
He gained the rank of Captain in the 1st Dragoon Guards.1 He lived at St. Chad's, Shrewsbury, Shropshire, EnglandG.1 He fought in the Seven Years War.1 He fought in the Battle of Minden in 1759.1
