     Sylva Olters was the daughter of Bertil Olters.2 She married Percy Amorey Beaufort Gethin, son of Major Percy Edward Lovell Gethin and Norah Stapledon, on 16 December 1948.1 She and Percy Amorey Beaufort Gethin were divorced in 1972.1 She died in January 2001.1
     From 16 December 1948, her married name became Gethin.

Sir Richard Walter St. Lawrence Gethin, 8th Bt.1

     Sir Richard Walter St. Lawrence Gethin, 8th Bt. was born on 16 February 1878.1 He was the son of Sir Richard Charles Percy Gethin, 7th Bt. and Catherine Cowie Scott.2 He married Helen Frances Beatrice Thornhill, daughter of William Blundell Thornhill and Florence Beatrice Warburton, on 29 December 1906 at Ardee, County Louth, Ireland.1,3 He died on 27 August 1946 at age 68.1
     He fought in the Boer War between 1899 and 1901.1 He fought in the First World War, where he was mentioned in despatches.1 He was awarded the Distinguished Service Order (D.S.O.) in 1917.1 He was awarded the Chevalier, Ordre national de la Légion d'honneur.1 He was appointed Companion, Order of St. Michael and St. George (C.M.G.) in 1919.1 He was member of the Inter-Allied Military Mission Control Austria and Hungary between 1920 and 1921.1 He succeeded as the 8th Baronet Gethin, of Gethins Grot, co. Cork [I., 1665] on 17 June 1921.1 He was Officer in charge of the Royal Artillery Record and Pay Office between 1929 and 1933.2 He retired from the military, with the rank of Colonel, late of the Royal Artillery.1

     William Blundell Thornhill was born in 1857.1 He is the son of Reverend William Thornhill and Helen Jameson Woolsey.1 He married Florence Beatrice Warburton, daughter of Joseph William Warburton and Lady Frances Isabella Anna King, on 3 October 1882 at Kensington, London, England.1
     He lived at Castlebellingham, County Louth, IrelandG.2 William Blundell Thornhill usually went by his middle name of Blundell.2

     Helen Frances Beatrice Thornhill was baptised on 13 September 1883 at St. Matthews, Rugby, Warwickshire, England.2 She was the daughter of William Blundell Thornhill and Florence Beatrice Warburton.3,2 She married Sir Richard Walter St. Lawrence Gethin, 8th Bt., son of Sir Richard Charles Percy Gethin, 7th Bt. and Catherine Cowie Scott, on 29 December 1906 at Ardee, County Louth, Ireland.1,2 She died on 27 November 1957 at age 74 at Yew Tree House, Walberton, Sussex, England.1,4

     He was educated at Oundle School, Oundle, Northamptonshire, EnglandG.1 He fought in the Second World War.1 He succeeded as the 9th Baronet Gethin, of Gethins Grot, co.
